Strange(r) Things Are Happening Again

Mike, Lucas, Dustin, and Will (and surely Eleven) are set to make their grand comeback at the end of the month when Netlfix's second season of Stranger Things hits your tellies. The first season of this 80's horror throwback was loved and adored in equal parts by fans of classic weird TV and film; The X-Files, Eerie, Indiana and the like. Rocking an amazing 80's-synth-stastic soundtrack didn't hurt either. We're pumped and you should be too. Not seen any episodes yet? Get all caught up before the new eps kick off!

Who killed Laura Palmer? The was the question my 17 year old self was obsessed with when David Lynch and Mark Frost’s Twin Peaks first aired on TV. It was unlike anything the world had ever seen. Up until that point, Dallas (who shot J.R.?) was probably the pinnacle of episodic America telly, but when Bobby Ewing ‘woke up’ in the shower, negating vast quantities of plotline as a big old dream, it lost all credibility. At least in my eyes.

Twin Peaks was entirely different. It was, after all, David Lynch - one of the most avant garde, visionary, and frankly weird directors of modern times. Twin Peaks was everything, and nothing. It was a hot mess of misdirection, supernatural horror, murder mystery and comedy gems. No one had ever seen anything like it before and the whole planet was fixated.

So 26 years on, and I’m slightly over half way through Twin Peaks: The Return - the new 18 episode-long season 3 that nearly every Peaker never thought possible. It’s incredible - whether you like Twin Peaks or not - to imagine that this is happening again. The show from 1990 forged a new direction for all modern TV shows that followed; Lost, Northern Exposure, even The Sopranos and The Wire. TV changed forever with Twin Peaks, and I wouldn’t want it any other way.

So yes it's been about minus 7 degrees in most of the UK this week but that won't dampen our spirits. There's so much to look forward to about the British summer - barbecuing under a brolly, burning your skin to a lobster crisp on the one hot afternoon in August and midgies ....

One thing is for certain though - you will at some point in the next 4 months be wearing a t-shirt - so why not stock up now while we have free shipping if you spend over £50.

OK so we may have mentioned it before but we're just a teeny bit (insanely) excited about the new Alien movie. Today is Alien Day .... why?....because Aliens, the 1986 action sequel to Ridley Scott’s original, takes place on a colonial moon known as Acheron. However, before it was given a proper name the moon was known as LV-426. Hence, Alien Day is on 4/26. You can find out all about it here

#training for a marathon?

Guest post written by Linda Firth (

Marathon – the only time that word ever had any positive connotations was when it was on the top of a chocolate wrapper... before they decided to change it to Snickers!

Don’t get me wrong – I would love to be one of those people who can stick their ear buds in and block out the world when they’re running but honestly – I am more of a pound of sweets than a pound the streets kinda gal.

I’ve tried to get on board with this running lark, but if I’m setting off on a journey it had better be leading somewhere with a pub at the end of it, or at least a coffee shop, because running around in circles to end up where you started just doesn’t float my boat.

At least in the gym the treadmills come with a screen and a variety of things to watch – I have to admit I have spent many a happy hour watching Jeremy Kyle during my morning workout, but in the end even the thought of ending up looking like one of the show’s guests couldn’t motivate me enough to carry on.

I lost count of the number of times the gym instructor asked me if I was ok when I limped off to the changing rooms, and all I could do was nod. I needed one of these t-shirts to explain myself really, instead of grunting through the sandpaper which seemed to have gotten lodged in my throat.
(I should have realised that strenuous exercise wasn’t really for me when I threw up during my first kick-boxing class – have you ever been to one of those? They are brutal!)

But – in the interests of research I decided to go all out and start a training programme and came across A Beginner’s Guide to Running a Marathon. Great! Monday morning, bright and early, I switched on the laptop to see what I needed to do on my first day.

Know what it said?

The first day of training, and it said I had to rest.

Excellent! I was impressed with the programme so far!

Upon further reading I found that the beginner’s guide wasn’t for beginners at all, because you needed to have done eight weeks of running beforehand! Eight weeks! If I had managed eight minutes I’d have been happy. Eight weeks? I’d have been lauding myself as the new Mo Farah! Nevertheless I decided to skip the 52 days of prerequisite torture training and get stuck in on day two.

10 minute walk – check. 20 minute run – check I’m still alive. 5 minute walk – check no-one sees me as I throw up in the next door neighbour’s rhododendrons. As I stood holding my ribs to stop them imploding, I saw a guy running past, and he was wearing one of these – “There’s more to life than running, but not much more”. I couldn’t have put it better myself because at that moment I felt like I had precisely thirty seconds of life left!

Day three was a day of rest again. Bliss.

Then day four dawned and I checked my schedule. You running types do not break a girl in gently, do you? 10 minute walk – yep, I can handle that. Then a THIRTY minute run. An entire episode of Cornonation Street’s worth of running? Are you serious???

Next to the ’30 minutes’ it had the abbreviation ‘ER’… It stands for Easy Run but in my case it should be Emergency Room. I tried, I really did. If you look up how a seal moves it will tell you that seals crawl when they move, by stretching forward and then somehow hunching their back to bring their back legs to the front. That was me! I’m surprised there were no reports of the local Sea life Centre having escapees!

Day five wasn’t too bad – stretching exercises. I did that out shoe shopping, reaching up to get the right size.

The thing is, the body tricks you into forgetting how bad it was. On the easy days (i.e. resting or shopping stretching) you get to thinking it’s not too bad. Then you put the trainers on and it all comes flooding back to you – like childbirth.

By the end of the first week I had to admit defeat. I’m just not cut out for running. That’s why God invented exercise machines – you just lie down and let the machines move your muscles for you. Yes, I know there’s not the release of endorphins or the satisfaction of having just run off the coffee cake and latte you had for lunch, but seriously, running just isn’t for me.

I get it – kind of. No, I do, honestly. The solitude, the being alone with just your thoughts thing? I do. But when I run I don’t get the quietness. I get the blood rushing in my head, the heart pounding in my mouth, and the extra strain on my bra straps is deafening!

I’m quite proud of myself for trying it. I haven’t been able to show my face in public since, unless it’s after dark, but I’m sure the neighbours will find something else to talk about soon.
And in the meantime, I will be wearing this with pride!

Today is the Spring equinox - the first day of the year when the day and night is equal in length. But if you live in the UK you know that this can mean two feet of snow, howling gales, 'hotter-than-Gibralter' heatwaves or endless soul-destroying grey drizzle
There's always a positive side to any weather though - like this clip of a weather reporter getting knocked down by a storm blown fish

Luckily for you we have clothing for all meteorological extremities.

Pi Day is an annual celebration of the mathematical constant π (pi). Pi Day is observed on March 14 (3/14 in the month/day date format) since 3, 1, and 4 are the first three significant digits of π. It's also Albert Einstein's birthday. It's also a great excuse to eat massive slices of pastry encrusted yumminess ... and laugh at silly pie charts.

Class of Nukem High 2016

Last week, North Korea's mad hatter of a leader Kim Jong-un decided to continue to show the world that he's nuttier than squirrel poo by a) banning the peoples of the country from using sarcasm, and b) detonating yet another nuclear bomb underground. This is our tribute to Mr. Jong-un. Scared? We should be.

We Want You...

...To send in your own ideas for t shirt designs! A cornerstone of the ShotDead philosophy since our inception has been Customer Designs. The best bit (aside from international glory) is that we pay you for each one of your designs that we sell. Let's take a brief look back in time...

There are a couple of standout designs; submitted by folks just like you, that went on to be overnight success stories on our shop. The first one is the infamous 'Cure For Tourette's' design. It went viral, and the genius customer who sent in this brilliant design earned over £2,000 in just over two months. Then there was the tale of the 'Fifty Sheds of Grey' design, which has made its designer more than a few quid over the past couple of years.

We Want You...

All you need is a good idea for a witty design or slogan that you'd want to wear yourself. We're also very happy to consider fully realised designs from those of you that know how to illustrate too. We pay you £1 for every t shirt we sell, or £0.30p for every mug. The competition's stiff, but we have some customers on our books that regularly take home over £100 per month commission for their designs. To email us your ideas and designs, click here.

One last point - which is very important - you must have an active PayPal account in order for us to be able to pay you!

We've got a more detailed page here. Get thinking, and get sending - you could be making buku dollars in a matter of days, if your designs are approved!

Blessed Are The Cheesemakers

It's Easter. We feel compelled (by the power of Brian) to say "Excuse me. Are you the Judean People's Front?"... If you know how the rest of that conversation goes, then it's time to pick sides! Which one are you?

Blessed Are The Cheesemakers

Remember - always look on the bright side of life.

All Hail Boaty McBoatface

Darwin Day

Not only was Charles Darwin a brilliant mind, but he's also the perfect poster boy for an amusing t-shirt or five. On Darwin Day, we're supposed to celebrate science, nature; that kind of stuff... we, however, like to celebrate awesome design work, cheeky slaps across the face of religion, and dinosaurs with tiny little arms.

Kung Fu Panda 3

Big movie release of January time! Dreamworks' Kung Fu Panda 3 hits cinemas soon, featuring Jack Black once again as Po, the clumsy Dragon Warrion panda. We're massive fans of the series to-date, so we're rooting for a great third installent. Our money's on Po's goosey dad, Mr. Ping to steal the show as always. Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston voices one of the new characters, so that makes us doubley hyped. Here's our version of Po doin' his thing.

We're one week into the Rugby World Cup 2015 and it's been an adrenaline-packed start to the tourny so far. Japan made massive waves when they destroyed South Africa in their opening game, the All Blacks just thrashed Nambia, and Scotland put Japan back in their place. But it's still to play for (perhaps not if you're Nambia) and we'll be watching to see who takes the cup.

Season 5 of HBO's Game of Thrones has finished and we're shattered. Every week for 10 weeks, we wrote opinion pieces about the show, promoted our awesome Westeros Fan Wall, and gave you all the chance to win tons of free t-shirts. It was rather like one of Maester Qyburn's experiments in a lot ways; trying new things, monitoring results, beheading local villagers etc. We had a lot of fun getting down into the nitty-gritty of the show, and we hope you enjoyed reading our musings.

So if you need a cheat-sheet or if you want to promote good, clean grammar, then this one's for you!

Friday the 13th. A day of dread, bad luck and ill feelings... if you're superstitious, that is. Well, we've decided to make it a bit interesting this year, and we're giving away not one, but three mugs this Friday. Over on our Facebook page, we're asking you to comment on our #FreeMugFriday13th post by posting clips from your favourite horror films. We'll select the best three, and those winners will each get to choose a mug from our shop of their choice.

So if you want a chance of scooping up one of our legendary mugs, get stuck in.

Saul Goodman - Attorney At Law

We warned you in a previous blog entry that Breaking Bad's epic hapless lawyer Saul Goodman was getting his own show, and thanks to Netflix, the first episode is now available in the UK! It seems only right to point you in the direction of our awesome officially licensed BCS design, which can be seen here in all of its full glory:

Official Breaking Bad - Better Call Saul Organic T Shirt

The first season will run for 10 episodes, and a second season has already been commissioned. There's even a few hints that Walt and Jessie might cameo in S2!

Monday Moaner

It's difficult to find any good reason not to hate on Monday. Work, school, bills in the post... it's all pretty glum. We're trying to ease your pain and disdain with a new weekly Facebook feature called 'Monday Fail'. If you know anything about silly pictures on the internet, then you'll know that #fails are big business. Every Monday at around midday, we'll slap together a nice little post featuring a comedy fail, and if it hits a certain number of Likes or Comments, we'll dish out a free t-shirt of your choice to one of the people engaging with the post.

Monday Fail

Check out our Facebook page and give us a Like so that we can fill up your newsfeed with our ShotDead sensibilities. You'll not regret it!

If you have a suggestion for a future #tbt design you'd like to see, comment on the posts and we'll give you a nod!

It's also one of our favourite parts of the job - posting silly nonsense, linking to funny - and usually rude - articles, videos and photos. But because we want you to be part of our growing community, we're asking for your help to make it even better, bolder and sexier with your own input.

Daft Buggers

If you come across something that makes you spit your brew out, then we wanna know about it. Post something epic to our Facebook wall, and if we re-post it in our news stream, we'll send you a £10 voucher which you can use here on the store. Mint, eh? Get involved, you slackers!

Better Call Saul

On February 8th, Breaking Bad fans will get a second shot to watch bent lawyer Saul Goodman (played by Bob Odenkirk) in action. Better Call Saul is a spin-off from Walter White's epic drama and focuses in on the early life of Goodman's law career. Billed as drama with comedy, we can expect to see the origins of characters like badass private investigator Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks) come into play. Here's a recently released extended trailer for Season One which kicks off in the States early next month:

Could Better Call Saul be AMC's next big hit? It's got some big shoes to fill after Breaking Bad and Mad Men. We're dying to check it out, but as of now, no UK airing schedule is known. Stay tuned for updates soon.

Ant-Man Trailer Rocks!

Marvel's Ant-Man looks rad. A first-look trailer has spewed forth across the interwebs, showing off Paul Rudd's character Ant-Man, as well as a rather dapper-looking Dr. Hank Pym (played by Michael Douglas). The movie is co-written and directed by one of the UK's finest - Edgar Wright (responsible for epics such as Spaced, Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and more recently, The World's End). Here's the clip.

Can. Not. Wait. Coming soon in July 2015. Get in!

New Designs

We'll leave the rest to the big man in the red jumpsuit pictured above. Huzzah!

Castro Versus Cockerill

Italian rugby player Martin Castrogiovanni recently unleashed a torrent of abuse at this former boss, Leicester Tigers coach Richard Cockerill. It was brutal, and as such, Castro's comments are being investigated by European Professional Club Rugby. Well, you know us... Along with our good friends over at, we worked up a killer design featuring some of the choice rant, which has subsequently been picked up in the mainstream press and media.

The Telegraph and The Mail Online both ran stories which reveal how Castro's team-mate - Toulon flanker Steffon Armitage - has ordered up a bunch of the hit t-shirts for his squad to be used in training!

Love Me Or Hate Me T Shirt

We've also got word that a certain sports presenter may or may not be wearing this shirt on an upcoming BT Sports rugby show too, so keep 'em peeled! Talk about sticking it to the man - sheesh!

There And Back Again

Peter Jackson's epic trilogy of films based on JRR Tolkien's The Hobbit rolls out its final installment in cinemas next week. The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies (filmed at 48 frames-per-second in stunning 3D) wraps up the story of Bilbo Baggins and the company of dwarves versus Smaug the dragon and the forces of Sauron. We're totally stoked, and you should be to. It's good news, then, that we've secured an awesome line of officially licensed t-shirts, eh? See them all right here.

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies

The designs actually span all three Hobbit films, so if you're stuck for a prezzie for your high fantasy loving relatives, you know what to get 'em!

Black Friday / Cyber Monday

Tomorrow kicks off the biggest retail shopping day of the year - Black Friday (November 28th, 2014). The following Monday (December 1st, 2014) sees Cyber Monday hit, which helps everyone mop up if they missed out previously. Put simply, it's the best (and busiest) long weekend to get your Christmas shopping lists ticked off and burned into floaty ashes.

Black Friday / Cyber Monday

We're planning a rad promotion which will involve your jaws hitting the floor whilst simultaneously saving cashola on all of our sexy products. T shirts, mugs, sweat shirts, baseball tops and hoodies will all be part of the fun. So don't put yourselves in harm’s way (see above image for suitable levels of shopper brawling madness) and come to our humble shack instead - you'll get it all done and dusted on one easy basket. Git 'er done!

The Force Awakens

USA movie theatres are getting the first release of the new trailer for Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens this upcoming weekend. This is a pretty big deal. There's no word yet on when the trailer will hit the UK, but given the nature of social media, it'll probably pop up everywhere on or at around the same time!

The Force Awakens

Check out or non-official Star Wars Facebook fan page... it's gaining ground pretty fast, and we like to post funnies and all the latest Star Wars-related titbits there. Give us a Like, and keep following us too!

Don't Be A Mug

Betcha can't name one person in the world that doesn't enjoy drinking some kind of liquid from some kind of liquid receptacle. See, told ya so! It's a bloody good job that we're having a bug mug sale on the site, then eh? Get 10 percent off all mugs in your basket when you buy more two or more mugs! Simples!

Too Many Cooks?

Once in a while, something hits the net and goes viral. Adult Swim's ingenious 'Too Many Cooks' has blown up this past weekend and is the talk of social media all over the globe. It's a parody of 80's sitcom opening sequences, but 'Too Many Cooks' goes way beyond. It's 11 minutes of head-spinning chaos which is engineered in such a masterful way that it's hard not to walk away dazed and confused...

Adult Swim, we salute you. It takes a lot to make a stew...

How Dare You Call Me Inhumane

With the weather finally turning, we thought it was appropriate to create a new design that conveys our thoughts and feelings about people who wear scarves. Like, what's the point of a scarf? The only man in the history of the universe to pull off wearing a scarf was Richard E. Grant's portrayal of Withnail, in the class Bruce Robinson flick, Withnail and I. Disagree? Don't care.

Scarves T Shirt

Sorry if you're offended. Actually, we're not at all sorry. Enjoy!

Marvel Comics nerds exploded yesterday when news hit about a five-year role out plan for the next wave of superhero movies. Marvel's already on top of its game with brilliant flicks like The Avengers, X-Men: Days of Future Past and Captain America: The Winter Soldier. So fans across the globe went mental when the company announced the following new movies:

  • Ant-Man - 17 July 2015
  • Captain America 3: Civil War - 29 April 2016
  • Doctor Strange - 8 July 2016
  • Guardians of the Galaxy 2 - 5 May 2017

  • It is a good day for the human race.

    You Had One Job

You had one job. One job. We love to revel in humanity's ineptitude. And what better way than a Facebook page celebrating stupidity, idiocy and cretinous work-shy fuck-ups. Check out our You Had One Job Fails page by clicking the image below, and join in the life comedy.

    You Had One Job Fails

    The human race is staggering.

Don't You Want Somebody To Love?

We'll make this quick because the design speaks for itself. It's NSFW, but then again, the best ones rarely are.

    Someone Loves You T Shirt

    It's rude, but it's rad.

    All Hallows' Eve

Zombies, brains, fangs, claws and shotguns. All synonymous with a day in the ShotDead offices, but ALSO they're all part of our fave pagan holiday - Halloween! Forget the inevitable tooth decay brought on by too many Swizzel’s Double Lollies, and take a gander at our sweet range of spooky, funny, bloody designs...

    All Halloween T-Shirts

Don't become one of the living dead like poor Jack Goodman above. He's having a shitty time in limbo!

Age Of Ultron in May 2015

Check out the brand new official trailer for Josh Whedon's 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' right here. That's it. Watch it, and get awesome.

Oh, God! May next year cannot come fast enough!

    One For The Road...

French actor and legend Gérard Depardieu recently revealed that he chugs around 12-14 bottles of wine per day. He also became a Russian citizen, and smokes endless Gauloises on a daily basis. Now, we're not condoning such extreme lifestyle behaviour, but we'll just leave our latest and greatest design here for you to look at.

    Not An Alcoholic T Shirt

"I can't drink like a normal person. I can absorb 12, 13, 14 bottles a day, but I’m never totally drunk. All you need is a 10-minute nap and voilà, a slurp of rosé and I feel as fresh as a daisy." Bring it on, Gerry.

    Dead Alive

Schrödinger's cat is a thought experiment, sometimes described as a paradox, devised by Austrian physicist Erwin Schrödinger in 1935. It's easy to blow your mind thinking about such things as quantum mechanics, but this particular experiment is hugely popular throughout the realms of the interwebs, and we've birthed a frankly brilliant new design around the said theory. You can see the design right here.

A little more explanation is required, and summed up very well in this video:

All we know is that our cat is very much alive. And he's just left a little present in the kitchen sink. Maybe it's time to make with the explosives after all...

That gum you like is going to come back in style

The unthinkable has happened. Director David Lynch and Producer Mark Frost have officially announced a third season of the cult classic TV show, Twin Peaks. A FULL 25 YEARS AFTER THE LAST EPISODE aired! The details are that the new season will air in 2016 on USA network Showtime (no word on how UK viewers will get involved yet), and that Lynch with direct all nine planned episodes.

A couple of the ShotDead staff are a little too excited about this news, and although it's a fair way off, we're already dreaming about how the new series - which is apparently set in modern day - will start to tie up loose ends. Does Coop break free of Bob's demonic possession? We're simply quaking with anticipation. Here's the new teaser trailer.

Our Inspired By range can be seen here. Remember - the owls are not what they seem! Bring back Major Briggs, stat!

    Thanks, weather

Aaaaand it's cold. It's also wet, windy and bloody horrible too. Yep, 2014 was a banner year for the UK in terms of not-shit weather, and we're incredibly lucky to have made it to the beginning of October without more rain and grimness. But the worm has finally turned it would seem. We even booted up our real open fire over the weekend, and as the long winter-ish nights start to draw in, it's our civic duty to try and get you to spend money with us on cosy, warm hoodies. So... we're offering a massive £10 off EVERY SINGLE HOODIE on our store until 10/10.

    Pirate Err Hoodie

The sale won't last forever, but our recent stats show us that the sale is exactly what you need and want - we've sold over 10 times the normal number of fluffy, cosy hoodies in the last few days! DO IT UP NOW!

    International Translation Day

On September 30th, the world celebrates International Translation Day. This is because the 30th is also the feast of St. Jerome - who is widely regarded as the patron saint of translators. Betcha didn't know that! Well, we're all about translation today too. So much in fact, that we're pimping out our splendid Game of Thrones Valar Morghulis - which can be translated from High Valyrian to 'All Men Must Die'. Charming.

The rest of the awesome Game of Thrones range can be found here. Jaqen H'ghar would be proud!

Apple Fans Get Bent Out Of Shape

So Apple's new range of iPhone 6 handsets released to the public this week, and fans went mental. Massive queues formed around the world, filled with Apple devotees who were clamouring to get their hands on the new hardware. But a few days later, the Internet is up in arms about the iPhone 6 Plus. Specifically, this model's propensity to 'bend' during normal day-to-day transportation in... wait for it... tight trouser pockets. This dude carried out an experiment to see if the phone's aluminium frame really can be bent without a great of effort.

Jesus. For a device that costs a minimum of £619 at the time of writing, we're pretty aghast over here. Over half of the ShotDead staff own/like/love Apple products (one brave techie has even got one of the Plus devices), but how would you feel about your new phone being potentially at risk from such wear and tear? Our suggestion? Lose the tight hipster pants.

    Minecraft Goes Up a Notch

One of the most popular videogames ever has just been bought up by Microsoft for 2.5 billion dollars. It is of course Minecraft - brain child of Markus Alexej "Notch" Persson - which has currently sold over 54 million copies worldwide. It's a bit like Lego, albeit Lego in a virtual 3D world, where monsters come out at night and abuse you, and you can literally build anything you want out of blocks. Anything. A rendition of the Empire State Building? Done. A 900 foot-tall T-Rex? Done. An M.C. Escher bizarre construct? Well, maybe... Here's two inspired-by tees which capture the flavour of this gaming phenom pretty well.

    SAMCRO's #finalride

On September 9th, Kurt Sutter's excellent Sons of Anarchy crime-drama kicks off in the States with its seventh and final season. We've followed the tale of SAMCRO since day, enjoying, relishing, sometimes even weeping at Jax Teller's life challenges within the Club. It's been one hell of a ride. So, we decided to work on bolstering our already epic collection of officially licensed Sons of Anarchy gear, which can be seen in all its glory here. we hope you like the results.

Official Sons of Anarchy Skull 1967 Organic T Shirt

UK SoA fans are gonna have to wait a bit longer, as currently, we're not sure who will be airing Season 7 in the UK. (Update: UK SoA fans can get S7 via iTunes right now!)

    True Love For True Blood

HBO's amazing supernatural drama True Blood just wrapped its last episode ever. The story of Sookie Stackhouse and Bill Compton is over at least in terms of the TV show, but to celebrate, we've just launched an amazing range of officially licensed designs. Ranging from the vamp blood-replacement juice Tru Blood, all the way to such well known hangouts as Eric's nightclub Fangtasia, and Jason's high school Bon Temps football team strip, we've got something for all you proper Trubies. Check out the full range of 14 awesome designs here.

Official True Blood - Tru Blood 2 Organic T Shirt

Raise a chilled glass of Tru Blood, and let's all say cheers for the past years' worth of violence, murders, biting and frankly bizarre TV joy that the show's delivered.

    Fuck That Shit

Let's not beat around the bush here. We make designs that are offensive. We're proud of this; the people that buy them are proud to wear them too. So we released a new line of 'Fuck That Shit' designs. Nothing's safe. Not religion, vegetarianism, sobriety, sports and work. We've nailed down this collection for those of you that want to shock, and make a statement at the same time.

    Reality FTS T Shirt

If this is all too much for you, then tough titties. We're *that* hardcore (well, at least for this blog post, we are!)

    Miley Cyrus is from Yorkshire?

Today is National Yorkshire Day. Not quite sure what that means, but we love Yorkshire... and better yet, we love taking the piss out of regional accents. This is what Wikipedia has to say about NYD:

Yorkshire Day is celebrated on 1 August to promote the historic English county of Yorkshire. It was celebrated in 1975, by the Yorkshire Ridings Society, initially in Beverley, as "a protest movement against the Local Government re-organisation of 1974", The date alludes to the Battle of Minden, and also the anniversary of the emancipation of slaves in the British Empire in 1834, for which a Yorkshire MP, William Wilberforce, had campaigned.

Here's what we have to say about Twerkin'.

    Twerk Definition T Shirt

So swig a few pints of ale, and rock your new Twerk shirt with pride. Do both while eating as much lard as possible.

    On Yer Bike...

The ShotDead staffers are keen cyclists. Well, some of them. Actually, Ian is... However, he's so into cycling that he convinced the rest of us that we needed to bust out a top-notch range of designs that cyclists would be proud to own and wear.

We did our research, and have now got the foundations of a stellar range of t-shirts. We've gone for the wry slogan route, as well as including a number of fact-y designs which detail some of the gnarliest hillclimbs in the UK.

Cycling - Buttertubs Pass T Shirt

Get your SPDs on, and limber up, cuz it's pedalling time.

    Comicon on SoA

The San Diego Comicon recently wrapped up and along with ten millions geeks parading around the complex, there was plenty of interesting news to come out of various panels and keynotes. Chiefly, Sons of Anarchy's Kurt Sutter and the cast of the show were on-hand to talk about the upcoming and final season seven of the show. Will Jax make it through to the bitter end? Which main characters are going down? There's a lot of speculative gossip on the interwebs, but we're just looking forward to some great TV.

That teaser sent shivers down our collective spines! Check out our SAMRCO goodness on the shop right here.

    Cult Classics

It's time we were straight about something. Milk chocolate from Aldi is nowhere near as good as Cadbury's. Bet you didn't know that, didya? Well here's something else you didn't know. We've set up a little corner on Facebook dedicated to cult classic TV & film. That's right, folks. You know we're big into our celluloid appreciation, so this seemed like a natural extension of that. We're posting stills/images and video clips from our favorite shows throughout the ages, and we're getting involved with the massive TV & film culture that exists on Facebook too.

Here's something to give you a sense of the vibe we're after:

And Predator is just one of the great cult movies that we've got covered in our ever-expanding Inspired By collection. Check us out on Facebook, and leave us some feedback on what designs you'd like to see added to the range.

    Ready to Strain?

We *love* us some awesome TV. We're finally coming out of the post-Game of Thrones Season 4 sadness, and we're getting hyped for the new FX show - The Strain. Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan collaborated on the novel a couple of years ago, but now the story is hitting TV as a 13-part horror show. It's kicking off this weekend in the States, and while we've got to wait for a release date here in the UK, we're convinced this is gonna be something special.

del Toro's direct involvement with the TV adaptation is exciting, but the project also sees Lost's Carlton Cuse take on an executive role too. Good stuff. So if horrendous apocalyptic ancient vampire contagion appeals to you as much as it does to us, then keep your eyes peeled for a UK release date. We'll be following this one very closely indeed.

    Tour de France

The biggest cycling event of the year kicked off over the weekend, seeing the first couple of legs of the Tour de France 2014 take place in the North of England. Unfortunately for England, Mark Cavendish beefed it and injured his shoulder, knocking himself out of the running for the race. Pity. But, we're still a proud cycling nation, and to prove it, we've summoneded up a new Five Things design about cycling.

Five Things I Like - Cycling T Shirt

Where's old Wiggo when you need him? Get the head-scratching truth on that, right here.

    Revenge of Suarez

England got served in last night's game against Uruguay. We can't analyse it any more than the pundits already have, and whichever way you slice it, one factor remains true: Luis Suarez is an amazing player.

Liverpool fans might be feeling a little torn, but as a nation backing England's squad (Gerrard - WTF?!) we're feeling sore, downtrodden and more than a little embarrassed this morning. So... who wants to knock Suarez down a peg or two? It's actually a lot easier than you think. He's a passionate, brilliant player, but he's not infallible. Far from it. A little over a year ago, he made headline news when he bit Branislav Ivanovic's arm and promptly received a 10-match ban.

    Not the classiest move.

    Liverpool Blood T Shirt

So if you fancy sticking it to Suarez right now (and who doesn't?) then pick one of these bad boys up. Right then. Here's hoping Italy thrash the pants off Uruguay next week. We're still not quite out of the running yet...

Then there was the tail of the 'Fifty Sheds of Grey' design, which has made its designer more than a few quid over the past 24 months.

    Blogging... apparently it's good fun

Ruddy hell - it's been a long time coming, but here's our new blog! Not only will it aid us flogging you fine folks stuff that you really need but it'll give us all chance to have a laugh and swap cool stories, news and posts and that kind of thing. There will be a couple of staffers manning the blog on a regular basis, so you'll get a chance to know us a bit better, and find out why we're so awesome.

We're planning to deliver some interesting bits and bobs in the blog; including but not limited to the following:

  • Designer Competitions
  • NEW! The Rogues Gallery
  • Sales & Promotions
  • Planned design roll-outs around specific events (think World Cup)
  • Info on new ranges (Sons of Anarchy Season 7, anyone?)

  • It'll also be a great forum for you lot to get creative and submit your own 'Customer Design' ideas - if you make the cut, you'll start to earn £1 per t-shirt sold! Keep it dialled here and join in the fun!
